Greco EG500, black, made in Japan 1978. 1975-85 is often referred to as the 'golden age' of Greco. This one hails from the middle of that famed period. The craftsmanship is bang-on: you can feel the love and care that's gone into the build of this, everything is in it's proper place. The U-1000 pickups are a well regarded PAF-style humbucker, they offer a sweet creamy midrange with a delightful articulate treble and an immediate, snappy dynamic attack. The neck is slim and sturdy, similar in profile to a Gibson 'slim 60s' offering so it's very easy to get along with. This is a great example of a 'lawsuit era' Les Paul, it's easy to understand why guitars of this calibre caused so much of a stir in their day.
