Crafted to the highest standard of Japanese guitar manufacturing in the Fujigen Factory in 1977, up for sale is a mid to high range catalog model of the EG series, the EG-700.
Having a "700" notation means that this particular EG sports a high quality pancake mahogany body, 2 piece solid maple plain top with some stunning grain lines, fret nibs on the rosewood fingerboard and a host of other late 50s Gibson style features including an ABR-1 bridge, cream plastics and gold bell style control knobs.
The 24.75" scale length neck is 5 piece maple veneered to perfection with a beautifully grained rosewood fingerboard bound with cream plastic binding and fret nibs in true Gibson 50s style.
The headstock also features the original geometric Greco embossed machine heads and Greco mother of pearl logo. The neck has fantastic play ability up and down and feels excellent in the hands with the slim taper profile.
Condition wise, the guitar is in great condition for its 45+ year vintage with some dings and dents present, however all is honest wear and in keeping with the age of the instrument.
